The leaked text messages show how Miller, a one-time aide to Donald Trump, proposed a strategy to help the former president deal with anger over the January 6 Capitol riot.

On Monday, CNN published a text sent by Miller to MarkMeadows, the White House chief of staff.

Call me crazy, but I think there are two ideas from the president: 1) bad apples, likely ANTIFA or other crazed leftists, and 2) peaceful protest over fraudulent vote count. Violence is not acceptable. The text from Miller read, "MAGA supporters embrace our police and the rule of law and should leave the Capitol now!"

The fake news media that encouraged the riots are now blaming peaceful and innocent people for the riots. Our people should leave and let the criminals suffer the consequences.

CNN obtained a trove of 2,319 texts sent to Meadows between the 2020 election date and the inauguration of President Joe Biden.

Miller sent texts between Trump's 3.13 p.m. and 4.17 p.m., asking the mob at the Capitol to remain peaceful.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is a far-right lawmaker who blames other parties for the riot. Black Lives Matter and antifascists have been wrongly claimed to be responsible for the incident.

Miller's representatives did not respond to a request for comment.
