The MLB star is accusing the San Diego woman of making up allegations in order to ruin his baseball career. The lawsuit was filed in California. The show Bauer is suing Lindsey Hill and one of her attorneys for making up sexual assault allegations. Since Hill accused him of having non-consensual sex with a woman, Bauer has denied it. Bauer denied ever choking Hill without her consent. He denied punching or scratching her. Bauer acknowledged that the two had sex on two occasions, one in April 2021 and one in May 2021, but he claimed that the actions during those encounters were consensual. In his suit, Bauer claims that Hill tried to ruin his baseball career by accusing him of sexual assault in order to get a financial settlement with him. Bauer claims that Thiagarajah helped perpetuate the false allegations. He says the two photographs of Hill's alleged injuries were altered to make them look worse. Bauer said in the lawsuit that he was filing the action in order to expose and seek compensation for the false and malicious statements made by Ms. Hill and Mr. Thiagarajah. He is suing for damages. After Hill made her allegations against Bauer, prosecutors declined to charge the L.A. Dodgers pitcher. The MLB is investigating the claims and Bauer is still on administrative leave from the team.
