Effective June 2, 2022, Delta Air Lines will be adding boarding pay for flight attendants. Currently flight attendants aren't paid for boarding as they only receive their hourly rate from when the boarding door is closed until it reopens, however that is about to change in a couple months.

Delta will be paying flight attendants 50% of their hourly rate for boarding. Domestic narrow bodies will receive 40 minutes of boarding pay, domestic wide bodies will receive 45 minutes of boarding pay, and transoceanic flights will get 50 minutes of boarding pay.

The new boarding pay rates for flight attendants are based on their rank.

Delta is leading the way by paying its flight attendants 50% of their hourly rate for boarding. All Delta mainline flight attendants will be paid boarding pay on June 2, 2022.

Delta flight attendants are non-union, whereas all major US carriers including American, United, and Southwest are union for their flight attendants. Delta tries to keep its flight attendants from unionizing so I think adding boarding pay was worth it, if it means that its flight attendants continue to be non-union.

It will be interesting to see if other U.S. airlines add Boarding Pay for flight attendants. Delta pilots don't get Boarding Pay with the new change.
