Donald Trump told Fox News on Monday that he wouldn't be returning to the platform even if Musk could.

Trump told Fox that he would begin posting his "truths" to his new social media app over the next few days.

Trump told Fox News on Monday that he was not going to use the social networking site.

The announcement came moments after Musk won a bid to take the company private. For nearly two weeks, Musk has been maneuvering to purchase the company he calls the digital town square.

“Twitter’s become very boring.”

It has become very boring. In an interview with Americano Media, Trump said that they have gotten rid of a lot of good voices on social media.

According to interviews with The Washington Post, Donald Trump Jr. and J.D. Vance were hopeful for the future of the company.

I think it's great that he's buying it because it's not a free speech platform.

I agree. The shadowbanning is not just the sort of limitations of free speech.

The Trump Media and Technology Group's clone of the social media platform, Truth Social, suffered extensive tech issues that rendered it nearly useless. There were problems with the roll out and an extensive wait list for users who wanted to make accounts. After a switch to new cloud services, Truth Social has been running smoothly as of Saturday, and its users are now able to finish their accounts.

The Post reported earlier this month that Trump would refuse to post until Truth was fully functional. With Saturday's infrastructure switch, it's more likely that Trump will make good on his promise to only post on Truth.

Following the January 6th riots in the US Capitol, Trump was permanently suspended from social media. At the time, it was said that Trump's posts could lead to more violence.

Musk's takeover could benefit the platform. The more we can have open, the better, he told Fox.

The statement is in line with responses from Republican lawmakers and influential people.

Today is an encouraging day for freedom of speech.

Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, said in a Truth Social post on Monday that the Regime grows weaker with the takeover of Twitter.

I think it is good. We want liberty and justice and fairness in our country, and the more we can have open, the better.
