Our luggage was taken by a cast member and delivered to our room later in the day. The Halcyon was the location of our experience and it was designed to make us feel like we were on a ship in space. The launch-pod doors opened to show a large area. The Halcyon was operated from the bridge. The Sublight Lounge had a bar and tables with digital sabacc, a kind of mix between blackjack and poker. The bar served Star Wars-themed drinks and a few small bites. The room we were in looked like a cruise-ship room in the Star Wars universe. It had a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. One wall of our room had a panel with a virtual assistant. You could ask D3-O9 questions about the ship. She was a reliable source of information when the story began. We were able to get into other areas because of the use of the ship's consoles and data pads. The engineering room, brig, and cargo hold are some of the places we explored. Small portions of each selection were available for the buffet style food. Chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese were presented in an unusual way, such as Dipped Tip Yip Chicken with Noodle Cheese, or a salad. The blue and green milks were included. One cup of the plant-based milk drinks can be ordered for $8 at Star Wars:Galaxy's Edge. The main characters and conflict were introduced at the muster. We were able to engage with the story by consulting our Datapads, where we received communications from the cast and instructions on how to complete missions. There were plans to smuggle items off Batuu the next day, as well as people in need of avoiding contact with the authorities. We learned the history of the weapon and how to use it during bridge training, where the missions continued for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Our dinner this time was more formal. Gaya performed a live show. Most of the dishes were made with Asian flavors, and they were delicious. Everyone got a gourmet entree and dessert. A more basic menu was also available for younglings. We went back to our room after the final gathering. Breakfast was the same as the lunch we had the day before. It was a buffet style with a variety of food. There is a separate entrance to Hollywood Studios at the location of the transport to Batuu. We were given priority boarding for the rides Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run. Guests have to pay more for Lightning Lane passes. Depending on how popular the attraction is, buying one for an individual ride can cost between $7 and $15, and each person can only buy two passes per day. We made reservations ahead of time for the Star Wars-themed activities in the park that weren't part of the Starcruiser stay: getting drinks at Oga's Cantina and building droids. We had a dining credit at Docking Bay. It was easier to return to the Halcyon for a crowd-free dining experience by the time lunch came around. The activities included a race with toys, a tournament, and Sector Set. We spent time fulfilling missions, such as speaking with certain characters and participating in covert meetings with other passengers and cast members, as the story intensified later in the afternoon. Dinner that night featured dishes from different parts of the Star Wars universe. The plates looked cool, from the blue-colored shrimp to the funky looking desserts. The evening ended in a spectacular fashion. We went to our room for bed after a short celebration. We packed up our souvenirs and had our final breakfast on the ship. We disembarked from the Halcyon via a launch Pod that brought us back to the spaceport. It was an expensive stay, but the attention to detail made it seem like we were living in a Star Wars universe. Admission to Hollywood Studios, preferred access to the rides, and unlimited gourmet food added to the value of the trip. The service was flawless, and we felt like guests throughout our visit.
