I have been going to Disney World for over 30 years and I have been a travelplanner for over 10. The Polynesian and Beach Club resorts are my favorite places to stay at Disney World. If you travel with kids on a budget, Art of Animation or Pop Century is a good choice. I have been to Disney World for over 30 years. Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is perfect for late-night drinks, and Ohana is where you can enjoy a family-style dinner. The zero-entry Lava Pool has a waterslide, a kid splash area, and a hot tub with an edge. It is my second favorite pool at Disney World. If you stay at the Polynesian, you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from your room or on the beach. The resort plays music for the nightly show. The nightly electrical water show is held along the Seven Seas Lagoon. Art of Animation is a great choice for families with little ones, as well as families of five or more, because it offers suites that won't break the bank. The Disney resort has easy transportation to Hollywood Studios. Family suites have themes such as "Finding Nemo", "Cars" and "Lion King", and standard rooms take inspiration from "The Little Mermaid" The family suites have a kitchenette area and two bathrooms. It's important that I have two bathrooms when I travel with my daughters. The largest pool at Disney World is the Big Blue Pool. When you go underwater, you can hear music and sounds inspired by Finding Nemo. The Landscape of Flavors food court has a bread bowl where you can eat Walt's Favorite Chili. Caribbean Beach gets a bad rap from Disney fans. It has great amenities and is beautiful. It makes it easy to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Since the resort property is large, I suggest booking a preferred room so you are close to the main hub, Old Port Royal. Caribbean Beach is a great option for a family or a group of people. There are two queen beds and a Murphy bed in the standard rooms. Sebastian's Bistro is a favorite place to eat. It serves Caribbean-inspired dishes in big skillets. There are two places for grab-and-go meals. Banana Cabana is one of the best pool bars on the property. The chilled seafood salad is my go-to here. I always make my way to the pool bar even if I am not staying at the resort. Beach Club is close to the International Gateway entrance in the World showcase. It's perfect for a family vacation, a girls' trip, or a couple's trip. It is also home to my favorite pool in Disney World, Stormalong Bay, which is shared with the Yacht Club Resort. There is a lazy river, two slides, a pool, and a giant pirate ship. The Stone Harbor Club is where club-level rooms come with access. You can enjoy concierge services from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you plan on spending more time at the resort than at the parks, this is a great treat. The Beach Club Resort has a Kitchen Sink Sundae from Beaches and Cream. The treat includes eight scoops of ice cream and a can of whipped cream. The resort has easy transportation to Hollywood Studios via the Friendship Boats, as well as being within walking distance of Epcot. Anyone on a budget can appreciate Pop Century. It is also on the Skyliner, making it easier to get to Hollywood Studios days. We often stay here for quick weekend trips when we won't be spending a lot of time in the rooms. The standard rooms have a queen bed and a Murphy bed that can be turned into a table. The theme celebrates pop-culture phenomena throughout the decades.
