Schwarber erupts after strike 3 call and gets ejected (1:17)

Kyle Schwarber was ejected in the 9th after he was hit with a strike 3 call. (1:17)

11:34 PM ET

Kyle Schwarber was ejected from the game in the ninth for arguing balls and strikes as the Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Schwarber struck out looking in the final frame, turned around from home plate umpire Angel Hernandez, slammed his bat to the batter's box, and tossed his helmet as he was ejected from the game.

Schwarber walked back to the bench after Joe Girardi took over the argument.

Schwarber then took a few steps out from the dugout to scream "All night!" to the umpire and "Neither the Brewers nor the Phils were getting a fair shake of the calls."

Schwarber said in his postgame availability that it wasn't very good. I don't know how to say it. It was not very good. Guys were not saying a lot tonight. I was going to stick up for my friends.

Some of the tendencies that set off Schwarber were seen by the Brewers.

Everybody saw that he was consistent for both teams. He was consistent for both teams, but I am not going to say he was good because he wasn't.

Eric Lauer struck out a career-high 13 and Christian Yelich hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth as the Brewers escaped with a victory. The pitchers combined for 22 strikeouts in a no-decision that saw them take no-decisions.

It was a consistently large zone. Brewers manager Craig Counsell said after the win that it was a little big on both sides. There was bound to be someone upset when that happened.

The loss was the fifth in the last seven games for Philadelphia and the fourth in a row for the new-look club.

The Brewers have won six times in the last seven games.
