The second half of the game between Duke and North Carolina is when the Tar Heels run away with it. (0:41)
The Tar Heels will have a legitimate case for the top ranking in the preseason after Love said he will return to Chapel Hill.
The deadline for underclassmen to declare their intentions to enter the NBA draft is midnight. Love was one of the final decisions.
He announced his decision in a video.
The opportunity to play at North Carolina is something Love will never take for granted.
I'm back.

The team that reached the national championship game before falling to Kansas will be back with Love. R.J. Davis announced Saturday that he will return to the Tar Heels instead of going pro. Black said earlier this month that he planned to play another season for the Tar Heels and take advantage of his extra year of eligibility.
Brady Manek was the only key departure from the team.
Love, a former five-star recruit in the 2020 class, has had an inconsistent first two seasons in Chapel Hill, but was playing the best basketball of his career late in the season and will hope to carry that into the 2022-23 campaign. In six NCAA tournament games, the 6-foot-4 guard averaged 18.6 points, including 30 points against UCLA and 28 points in the Final Four win over Duke.
Love averaged 17.1 points, 3.3 rebound and 3.8 assists, and North Carolina went 17-4 over the course of a late-January win over Virginia Tech. Love averaged 14 points in the first 18 games of the season.
Love averaged less than 10 points and 3.6 assists as a freshman, but he put up 15.9 points and 3.6 assists as a sophomore.
Love was not a lock to go in the first round of the NBA draft. He was ranked 49 in the most recent draft rankings.
