Alabama Arby's employee arrested and fired for throwing hot grease at a customer during drive-thru altercation, police report says

An employee of the fast food restaurant was arrested on Saturday after throwing hot grease at a customer.

The police department wrote in a post that they arrived on the scene after a report of an altercation between an employee and a customer. Medics arrived on the scene to treat the customer, who sustained burns from hot grease thrown by a staffer who was taken into custody.

The company is working with local law enforcement after an employee was fired.

The actions of the former employee were reprehensible. We are working to support the recovery of the guest.

There were no other injuries and the victim was taken to the hospital. The victim's condition has not been released.
