Since it first landed back in 2020, the movie has had a rocky outing. Though the single player campaign was well-regarded and its core combat was considered pretty solid, it hasn't had a good time being a co-opRPG you want to play again and again. Bringing in a handful of free DLC heroes has helped the game stay fresh, and it still seems like more are on the way, or at least it did two years ago. After Spider-Man came to the game for Sony users, it seems like the next hero is about to make her debut.
The game's current roster of 10 heroes will be expanded with the addition of Jane Foster's Mighty THOR. It is possible that this has something to do with the movie that is coming out in a couple of months. She will be available for all systems, and her move set and abilities will be similar to that of Thor from the base game, but still make her feel different in some key ways that have yet to be revealed. Currently, it is not clear what else is joining her, such as a new event or location for players to do battle in, but that will be coming in the near future.
After Jane joins the ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, what will the game look like? There were rumors late last year that She-Hulk would join the roster, and a poster in the bedroom of the game's author confirms that she is in the game's universe. According to Forbes, the game's reply on the game's subreddit indicates a 2022. roadmap for the game. The game's future may not be as clear as it was back in 2020 after Crystal Dynamics announced that they are going back to Tomb Raider. The game's writing has been its best aspect, but like last year's single player game, the live service loop has not helped. Hopefully, Jane has a campaign of her own to make her feel like a worthy addition to the game.
