The Chicago White Sox outfielder is expected to be out for six to eight weeks after he injured his left leg in Saturday's loss to the Minnesota Twins.

It is the second year in a row that he has landed on the IL with a long-term injury. He was out for nearly four months last year with a pectoral injury.

Entering the game Saturday, he was hitting.229 with one home run.

Lucas Giolito was put on the 10-day injured list, but he was put back on the 10-day IL. The game against the Twins will be started by Giolito.
