The world was given a glimpse of the phone months ahead of its official debut when an Apple engineer left a prototype at a bar. A test unit of the upcoming Pixel Watch was left at a restaurant, and we now have a first look at it from various angles.

The picture of a round dial with a curved periphery has been painted by the leak-based renders. A new set of real-life images shows a screen that is dramatically curved and mimics the look of a waterfall.

The curved edges could be used for flashing notification lights without disrupting the on-screen content. The leaked image that appeared last week showed the home screen of the Pixel Watch with the integration of a fitness tracker.

Leaked images of Pixel Watch.
Images leaked to Android Central purportedly show the long-rumored Pixel Watch.

It looks like the case is metallic with a glossy finish, and the sensor array is neatly arranged in a rectangular bar at the center. The crown has a metallic finish. There are two buttons on the main body of the watch. The buttons are not clear if they are for interacting with the user interface or health related features.

The boot screen of the Pixel Watch was only for the logo of the company, as the watch was apparently devoid of functional software. The unit, which could be a testing model for the Internal Pixel team, also relies on proprietary connection points for attaching a strap, just like the Apple Watch. Buyers won't be able to just buy a standard 22mm strap for the Pixel Watch to match their style. More color options will likely be on the table after the leaked live images show only a blue strap.

The codename Rohan is currently in development and will rely on a custom chip that is similar to the one used by the Exynos family. There is no word on size and case material options.

The possible side of the Pixel Watch, along with strap, as leaked to Android Central.

The box that was found states that the unit is internal testing and development only, and that it might not be the final design for the retail package. It is curious that someone would carry the packaging box publicly while secretly testing a highly-awaited product.

There are rumors that the new watch will have a version of the Google Assistant that is more powerful and will have exclusive features. It is not certain whether it will bundle advanced health-focused capabilities such as electrocardiogram facility.

There is no word on the existence of the Pixel Watch, but it is rumored that it will debut at the I/O event in May. We might have to wait until the fourth quarter of the next century to find out what the first watch from the company has to offer.
