A new tool is being tested by the social network.

The platform is allowing a small group of creators to test a template that will allow them to use the same format as other videos.

We are always looking for new ways to make Reels simpler. Meta is testing the ability for you to make a reel using an existing template from another reel. A request for comment from the social network was not immediately responded to.

Josephine Hill tried out the feature in March, according to a screenshot she posted.

Hill told Business Insider that he was looking for something like the audio sync of TikTok where the clips line up perfectly to the beat of the music. It seems that templates do that.

It looks like it would be the same as you think it would be, with preset times on the app that go along with a song or trend, and users can plug in their own photos or videos to match.

This is one of the many examples of copying features that are already on TikTok, and the latter platform has a preset format for people to put their photos into. The templates seem to be the same.

It's likely that it's another attempt to get users to move off of TikTok and onto Reels. Last year, it was announced that it would demote Reels with TikTok watermarks to try to stop TikTok reposts.
