The team announced on its social media accounts that Eloy Jimenez left the game against the Twins with a right hamstring injury. He was taken off the field on a medical cart.

After hitting a ground ball to Twins third baseman Luis Arraez in the second, Jimenez landed awkwardly on first base. He stayed on the ground until the cart came and the training staff attended to his injury.

The ailment continues a two-year narrative for the White Sox, who lost Jimenez for nearly four months to a pectoral injury last spring training. Third baseman Yoan Moncada hasn't played this year because of a hip issue, while center fielder Luis Robert is nursing a groin problem. Pollock returned from an injury.

Lance Lynn and Lucas Giolito are not on the team.

Entering the game on Saturday, he was hitting.229 with one home run.
