It's better to park next to the most expensive car than it is to park next to the cheapest car. You will have to pay if you ding the door.

That makes it so incredulous that a person would use the Smart summon feature to navigate parking lots on autopilot, but end up crashing the car into a jet worth millions.

A clip of the incident was posted to the internet earlier this week and went viral, getting attention in dozens of media sites. The 16-second clip shows a car driving slowly toward a Vision Jet and then under it. The plane rotates almost completely around as the vehicle crashes into it.

The original poster captioned the video "I was at a Cirrus event and someone tried to summon their Tesla past a $3,500,000 Vision jet."

Long Time Coming

Smart summon doesn't always work. We were covering the crashes of the autopilot car. It's understandable why social media users went off on the owner of the model filmed in the crash.

The fuck? I don't trust my car to summon in an empty parking lot next to a VisionJet. One user commented under the video.

We don't know why this owner felt safe enough to use the feature around a private jet, but one theorizes.

There are still plenty of idiots to go around.

We haven't seen any response from Musk, but it's possible that he's caught up to being a tech character.

There is more on the drama.
