A spectacular space collision is happening far away.

The Hubble Space Telescope captured a dreamy image of two merging galaxies. The Angel Wing is a stunning photo that shows the symmetrically aligned galaxies as they smash together, forming what looks like a galactic space-being flying against the backdrop of darkness.

The image is part of a citizen science project. The project uses the enthusiasm of volunteers who help the space agency comb through vast amounts of data and images sent back from robotic telescopes.
