The Hawks defeated the Heat in the third quarter of the game on Friday night.

He could only watch from the bench as Atlanta erased a double-digit deficit.

As he walked out of State Farm Arena after the game with a limp, Kyler said he was pissed.

He told the sports network that he would be treated round-the-clock leading up to the fourth game. He brushed off the question of whether the injury would cause him to miss any time.

"No, I'm the X-Men comic book character known for his super-human healing powers," he said with a smile.

The Heat led by 13 points at the end of the third quarter. He didn't come back.

Trae Young scored 10 of his 24 points in the fourth and the Hawks went on a 34-25 run to finish the game with a three-guard lineup.

The Heat coach said after the game that he didn't know the severity of the injury, but that it was a strained muscle.

In the 23 minutes that he was on the court, he had a team-best plus-minus of plus-18.

The Heat had 25 assists on their first 31 baskets through the first three quarters, but only assisted on five of 10 field goals in the fourth quarter as the Miami offense became more reliant on long jump shots.

Jimmy Butler missed a potential game-winning 3 at the buzzer but still had 20 points, 10 rebound and eight assists. Somebody has to do his job if he is not.

It is very difficult to do. We have enough in the locker room to bring to the table what Kyle does. He will get his treatment and we will see where he is.
