Michigan state senator and GOP congressional candidate TomBarrett used a fake text campaign to get supporters to donate to his campaign in order to get his child's gender reassignment surgery, the Michigan Advance reported.
The text is similar to a confirmation typically sent by doctor's offices for appointments.

Biden is forcing 5-year-olds to learn about gender reassignment surgeries, gender identities, and other radical ideas, according to a fundraising site linked to in the text.
It continues by calling such topics sick and twisted.
A plea for donations reads, "Democrats are hellbent on destroying our faith, removing God from the center of our nation, and pushing trans ideology on young children."
There is a petition on the site to remove trans content from the school curriculum.
The focus on trans issues is in line with a pattern of GOP members across the county targeting the LGBTQ community, including an Alabama bill that criminalizes doctors providing gender-affirming healthcare to children.
In Michigan's 7th congressional district,Barrett is running for the Republican nomination against Slotkin.
The two men did not respond to Insider's request for comment.
