Roach will return to Duke for the 2022-23 season, he announced on his social media accounts.

There was speculation that Roach would declare for the draft, but now he will try to lead the Blue Dukes to an NCAA title in his junior season.

Roach was part of a group that included Paolo Banchero, Wendell Moore Jr. and Trevor Keels. He shot 41 percent from the floor and 32.2 percent from deep in 39 games.

During the NCAA tournament, the 20-year-old was even better, averaging11.8 points, 2.8 rebound, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals.

Roach will improve his draft prospects when he returns to Duke for his junior season. He wasn't projected to be a first-round pick in this year's class, but with an improved game, he could become one.

The Blue Devil's top-ranked recruiting class should still be in good shape, even though Roach will need to get accustomed to life under a new head coach.
