Miami Heat-Atlanta Hawks tip-off delayed due to suspicious package outside State Farm Arena

The tip-off of Game 3 of the Hawks first-round playoff series against the Miami Heat was delayed because of a suspicious package outside of State Farm Arena.

The package was found outside Gate 2 of the arena, across from CNN Center.

The Atlanta Police Department temporarily closed the gates. The area was cleared by police, K-9 units and arena security. The package was safely removed by the Atlanta Bomb Squad after the contents were found not to be explosives.
