Sony's platforms didn't support crossplay when it was added to Borderlands 3. The company announced at PAX East that full crossplay support will be arriving sometime in the spring. When the feature is available, players will be able to play the game with each other.

Sony has been resistant to enabling crossplay on some games in the past, originally blocking support for it in titles like Rocket League before eventually coming around. In March, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands launched with support for crossplay on all platforms. At the time of the announcement, Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Entertainment, said that he would consider the feature to be inevitable.

We asked if there was a specific time frame for when full crossplay support would be available. The new Tales from the Borderlands adventure will be released in 2022.
