It's thought that Paul Pogba will not play again this season, raising the possibility that he will not sign a new contract with Manchester United at the end of the season.

The France player was forced off in the early stages of the game against the Reds and is expected to be out for at least four weeks.

The final game of the season is at Crystal Palace on May 22, meaning that the France international faces ending his six-year spell at Old United with a whimper.

It is very unlikely that Paul will play until the end of the season, as it seems after the scans we did, according to Rangnick.

The doctor said it would take four weeks for him to recover. Since the last game is at the end of May, I don't think he will be able to play again.

There was better news for United ahead of their game at Arsenal, which could have huge ramifications on both sides of the table, with the return of talismanic forward, CristianoRonaldo.

After the death of his son, the 37 year old returned to training and is in contention to play at the Emirates.

Current Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick discusses the Red Devils' new managerial appointment of Erik ten Hag and just what the Dutchman can bring to Old Trafford.

The appointment of ten Hag, who will leave Ajax to succeed the German as United's manager in the summer, was supported by Rangnick.

The United interim said he gave positive feedback to the United board about Ten Hag, and urged the club to give him time tomould his own team.

We haven't met in person yet, but from what I've seen of him, he's a good guy.

With a full pre-season and a new team, we will see a different team and an improvement on the pitch.

I knew that he was one of the candidates the board spoke to. I told them that I thought he would be a good choice and that I had worked with him before.

However, he wasn't as forthcoming about his own future at United. The German is going to work as a consultant at Old United this summer, but he and the club haven't had time to discuss his role.

More to come...
