The new experiment will see it promote third-party safety tools on its service. Block Party, Bodyguard and Moderate are apps that can help block harassment and other toxic content on the platform.

Select users will be promoted with a new prompt when they block another account or mute one. The prompt reads, "The Twitter Toolbox offers more solutions to improve your experience on Twitter."

Developers want users and we want to provide them with the right tools.

It comes at a time when it is trying to change its relationship with third-party developers. In the early days of the social media network, developers were able to build third-party clients for the service. The market for feature-complete third-party clients was killed by the changing approach of this approach.

The company rebuilt the tools available to third-party developers two years later. It launched version 2 of its platform in early access in 2020 with a number of new features.

The hope is to encourage a mutually beneficial relationship between the two. If you remember, the only app on it was Snake.
