Cardinals GM on possibility of trading Kyler: 'Zero chance' (0:56)

The team will consider trading Kyler Murray according to Steve Keim. (0:56)

Steve Keim made it clear that any speculation that the team might trade Kyler Murray is just that.

Keim said there was no chance of him trading Murray.

The future of Murray in Arizona has been a topic since his agent released a statement last month that explained how a detailed contract proposal was sent to the team. Murray is eligible for an extension this off-season.

Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen were two third-year quarterbacks who received extensions in the summer.

Keim told reporters that the team has free agency, the draft and a refocus. It is the same for us.

He is our long-term and short-term quarterback.

In response to comments made by two former teammates on the "All Things Covered" show that Murray would leave the team because of the culture, Murray said he sees his future in Arizona.

Murray responded to the comments by saying that he wanted to win the Super Bowl with the Cards.

I wanna win Super Bowls with the Cardinals, AZ is home. https://t.co/xwEw42uDBl

Keim said he has been in contact with Murray about the draft plans.

Yeah. He's fun because he's so passionate about the game, and he's a football junkie, that's the kind of guys you like to have on your team.

I won't tell you what his wish list is, but he has one.

Kliff Kingsbury said he has been in contact with Murray.

I think we both understand to keep it professional. We talk about football. We talk about how we can get better. O's and X's. He wants to know about personnel. Who we are bringing in, who we are trying to sign, who we are trying to draft. He said it was all about football.
