The edited video shows Mike Tyson hitting a passenger in the back of the head on an airplane Wednesday night.
The San Francisco Police Department was dispatched to a physical altercation on an airplane at the San Francisco International Airport. The department doesn't release the names of people who are in jail.
Police said two people were arrested and later released. One person was treated at the scene.
The officer said that the subject provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate with the police investigation.
A man seated behind Tyson who had been trying to speak with him is later seen with blood on his forehead, although it wasn't clear what happened immediately before. They were on a plane headed to Florida.
A spokesman for Tyson said on Thursday that Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.

The police department said it was aware of the video that may have captured the incident. The video has been forwarded to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Tyson has been involved in physical altercations in public. Tyson was accused of hitting a parking attendant with an open hand in 1989 but charges were dropped. Tyson pleaded no contest to a charge of assault after a car accident. He was placed on supervised release after a three-and-a-half-month jail stint.
In 2020, Tyson took part in an exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr.
The 55 year-old Tyson now focuses on his cannabis line along with his podcast.
