The M8 is a new 4K display that is less expensive than the Studio display from Apple. We picked up one of the displays and thought we would compare it to the studio display to see if it was worth the money.

The M8 also doubles as a 4K TV, with built-in apps and an app store, a remote control, and an Apple AirPlay support, all of which sounds great.
The 4K display looks great, but it is not as good as the 5K display, which has a better screen. The studio display is sharper, more vibrant, and offers more accurate color, so it is definitely a better choice for those who are doing professional work.
The M8 looks to be similar to the iMac and the Studio Display in design, and it is available in white, blue, pink, and green aluminum. It looks good, and it will match your Apple devices because it is clearly an Apple-like aesthetic. The studio display has a tilt and height adjustment feature, which is required for an upgrade, but the display from the box is larger than the studio display at 32 inches. There isn't a VESA mount option.
When it comes to the speakers and microphone, the studio display is the winner, it has 4usb-c ports and a micro HDMI port. The M8 has a similar feature as the add-on camera, but the Center Stage feature on the Studio Display is different.
The M8 is worth $700 if you are looking for affordability and versatility, but if you want premium quality for professional work, the Studio Display is the better choice.
