Steve Kerr said that Stephen Curry would be bumped up for Game 3 of the first-round series against the Denver Nuggets.

Curry said at the shootaround that he was trying to maintain the level of intensity that it took to do things on the floor.

The increase is still being determined. Curry has averaged about 23 minutes per game in the first two games of the series.

The plan is to keep Curry off the bench until his minutes have been increased enough where he can play his normal rotation.

Curry came off the bench in Game 2 and scored 34 points to lead Golden State to a 126-106 victory and a 2-0 series lead.

Curry said he takes a different approach to the night when he comes off the bench. He has changed up his routine so he doesn't get too excited before the game.

Curry said that he did everything for the opening tip, but then sat on the bench. I had to change my routine so I could be ready for the middle of the quarter.

The Warriors will have some decisions to make when Curry returns to the starting lineup. Golden State could start a three-guard lineup with Curry, Poole and Klay Thompson, or it could shift Andrew Wiggins to the second unit.

It is a great problem to have according to Draymond Green and Kerr.

Kerr said that he has talked to Jordan to embrace what the role is, even if Jordan starts or comes off the bench.

Curry hopes that he has shown that at the end of the day, it doesn't matter who starts. It is about who is in the closing lineup and when your number is called.
