Disney usually gets what it wants in Florida.

Disney World's designation as a special tax district was revoked by the Florida House on Thursday, meaning that the company can now self-govern its theme park complex. The Reedy Creek Improvement District was voted to be eliminated by the Florida Senate. Gov. Ron DeSantis will most likely sign the measure into law after clearing the way on Tuesday. June of next year is when it would take effect.

Disney, Florida's largest private employer, paused political donations in the state and condemned a new education law that opponents call "Don"t" after the swift effort to destroy Reedy Creek by Florida Republicans.
