Don't be a jerk to people who wear masks at airports and on planes, I feel like this shouldn't have to be said.

The transportation mask mandate ended in the United States after a ruling by a district judge in Florida. For the time being, you don't have to wear masks on planes because the Biden administration is appealing the ruling.

This has drawn mixed reactions. Many people are excited about this development, while others are not. There have been reports of people wearing masks being harassed by fellow passengers and crews.

A doctor claims that a Delta pilot told him to take off his mask and breathe.

Flying today. A @delta pilot (🤯) walked by me in the airport and said, take your mask off man- breath free!

Why is it those who so strongly felt others were imposing their beliefs (in health, wellness and compassion) on them, feel so free to impose their beliefs on others?! pic.twitter.com/UQDXcLCoWN

The pilot created an anti-mask party from the start, which encouraged the non-mask wearers to chide the mask-wearers.

I had never been shamed for wearing a mask until my @AlaskaAir Orlando-Seattle flight today. The pilot created an anti-mask party from the start, which encouraged the non-mask wearers to chide the mask-wearers. The most uncomfortable experience for me and my family. Really sucked

They awarded the most outspoken guy with free drinks because passengers were calling them freaks.

Passengers were calling us freaks, and they awarded the most outspoken guy with free drinks. It was hard to explain it to our 9 and 12 year old. Other than that, we're doing okay. Thanks @tombiro !

There is a video of a flight attendant singing a song in the aisle and holding a garbage bag for people to dispose of their masks. I assume it was at least well intentioned and he was just excited, and maybe he wasn't thinking about how it makes others feel.

I hope most people don't call out people for wearing masks. Those who want to wear masks can do so because we have masks that offer great personal protection.

It doesn't matter what the reason is, they deserve it. We need to respect those who wear masks if we want to have freedom of choice.

Airlines have a duty to train their employees not to turn flights into a cheer fest for no longer having to mask up. It is not comfortable for people who wear masks to be a target for other passengers.

I am happy to see that the transportation mask mandate has ended in the United States. I respect those who wear masks in high risk situations, because I like not getting sick, and because it's really inconvenient if I get coronaviruses while traveling.

Some airline employees and passengers are choosing to insult those who wear masks. Please don't be that mean to another human, I would imagine that this is a tiny minority of people. If you witness this kind of behavior, please stand up for that person and report the situation.

Have you seen any negative behavior directed toward those wearing masks while traveling recently?
