Rad Power's RadRunner 2 and RadRover 6 Plus Ebikes Are on Sale

There is a lot to like about the bikes. The company makes the most reliable, affordable, and good looking electric bikes. They are comfortable to ride, even if the cadence sensor could use a little fine- tuning, and they have all the specifications needed for a powerful commuter ride, including a 750- watt hub motor.

The company ships directly to consumers, but the packaging is not as strong as other manufacturers. If you live on the West Coast, there are dedicated vans that can assemble and service your bike. I recommend getting the bike assembled for you, as a cracked display screen can cause a bolt of electricity to shoot between the battery and the cable as I was about to plug it in, which is extremely dangerous.

For several months, we have been testing the RadRover 6 Plus. A replacement battery charger is only $39. If you just want a regular commuter bike, the fat tires are too much. They add a lot of weight and drain the battery. I didn't pay attention to the battery meter when I was out and the battery died. Without a battery, I couldn't get the bike to move on the empty street.

The radRover is an extremely fun bike to ride if you like to bike to waterfalls or live on a street with gravel roads. I nicknamed the hill "Battery Killer" because of the 750 watt motor that got me up it.

The Kenda tires are puncture-resistant. They are smaller and lighter than the ones on the radRover and therefore easier to maneuver. The new iteration of the radrunner has a 750 watt motor, just like the radRover, and it comes with a cushier saddle. The step-through frame is attractive and makes it easier for short people to ride, and it also leaves space to mount a second kid's seat or other cargo in front of the rider, instead of behind. I've seen rad runners that look like full-on mopeds because of their cargo accessories.
