According to reports, the lawsuit against the Dallas Cowboys owner was dropped by the woman who claimed to be Jerry Jones' daughter.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Davis prefers genetic testing to verify that Jones is her father. Her attorneys asked a judge to dismiss her lawsuit without prejudice on Wednesday, after a previously scheduled hearing for Thursday.
Davis said she was conceived from a relationship Jones had with her mother.
She said that Jones would support her if her mother did not make it known that he was the father.
One lawyer who helped Jones make the payments said an additional $20 million was demanded in the past.
The lawsuit was not an extortion attempt.
Gene has been married to Jones since 1963.
