Sky Sports News reported on March 31 that Ten Hag was in a position to land the job over Mauricio Pochettino, with sources close to the manager and the club revealing the compensation was less than 2 million dollars.
The option of a further 12 months is included in the three-year deal. He told United that it was a great honor to be appointed manager and he was excited about the challenge.
