The Office of the Ukrainian Attorney General reported on Thursday that at least 208 children have died as a result of Russian attacks.

The AG's office reported on its Telegram channel that there have been more than 500 children wounded or killed in the war.

According to juvenile prosecutors, the most affected were children in the Donetsk region.

The AG's office said two girls, aged 7 and 11, and their father were shot in a civilian car by Russian soldiers. The younger girl died without regaining consciousness while the older girl was rescued.

The 15-year-old girl's body was found with a fatal lung injury in the village ofBorodyanka, the report said.

The statement said that the bombing and shelling by the Russian armed forces damaged 1,141 educational institutions.

The war in Ukraine is in its eighth week, as Russian forces try to seize total control of the Donbas area through a renewed offensive on the eastern front. Zelenskyy said the new push had begun.
