Denver says sideline spat 'out of the system' as Nuggets return home trailing Golden State Warriors 2-0

The Denver Nuggets were left with a lot of anger in San Francisco as they try to get back into their first-round series against the Golden State Warriors.

During the second half of the game against the Warriors, Will Barton and DeMarcusCousins got into a verbal spat on the sideline.

Monte Morris said after the loss that the players spoke up in the locker room.

Curry has averaged 25 points off the bench as he continues to make his way back from injury, while Poole has averaged 29.5 points in the starting lineup. In the series, Thompson has averaged 20 points per game and Green has slowed down Jokic.

Jokic has averaged 25.5 points, 10.5 rebound and 5 assists. Jokic was ejected in the fourth quarter of Game 2 for arguing with a referee over a foul that wasn't called.

After Game 1, Jokic credited Green with his defense against him. Green held Jokic to eight points and 2-of-12 shooting in the second game of the series.

Austin Rivers said that Draymond has been hurting them. Draymond has hurt us. He is controlling the pace, he is getting the shots, he is beating up Jok.

In the first two games of the season, Green held Jokic to a total of 16 points and 6-for-26 shooting.

Golden State is utilizing the defensive stopper, as evidenced by the fact that Draymond Green is not guarding anyone. We have to find a way to make them pay for doing that. It is going to be hard for Nikola to get off when he has three guys around him and they are saying that they are going to beat us.

The team wants to play more aggressive. With Michael Porter Jr. still out, Denver needs a bigger impact from a player like Aaron Gordon.

"We talked with him about how we can counter how they are guarding him and how he can help himself, if they are not going to guard him."

I think it starts with aggression. Be aggressive. The guys caught the ball in the paint and kicked it out to the perimeter. Make a play, get to the basket, and get to the foul line. The most aggressive team is going to win when you have two talented teams.
