  • Heard claims that he injured his finger.

Johnny Depp claims that his ex-wife, Amber Heard, threw a bottle at him which shattered and severed his finger during an argument, while he was trying to get her to sign a post-nuptial agreement.

As he took the stand for a second day in his defamation trial against Heard, he testified about the fight. Heard has been accused of ruining his career with false domestic violence allegations. Heard said that Depp physically abused her before and during their marriage, which ended in divorce.

The fight in which his finger was severed happened about a month after his wedding to Heard, when she flew out to Australia to visit him.

The idea of a pre-nuptial agreement led to arguments between the two of them. He said that it became too late.

He asked his lawyers to have a meeting with Heard so that they could explain to her how a post-nuptial agreement works.

Sent 'into a tailspin'

Heard arrived in Australia very upset about how the meeting had been conducted and felt that one of the lawyers she met with had been rude.

The meeting sent her into a tailspin and sunk deep into her mind.

She was irate and she was possessed, and when I tried to remove myself as I normally would from the situation, she was hammering me with brutal words.

It wasn't nice to be called a pussy or an ass kisser. He said that he did not fight for her or stand up for her.

She kept saying that she was not in your will, and that was surprising to me.

She was banging on the doors and screaming obscenities and wanted to have a physical altercation as he locked himself in a large house in Australia.

The stress of the situation caused him to go to the bar in the house and pour himself a few shots of vodka, but he claims he had been sober from drinking for some time.

Heard followed him to the bar, yelled at him for drinking again, and threw a bottle of vodka at him. He says the bottle flew past his face and hit the ground behind him.

He went back to the bar, picked up a larger bottle of alcohol, and continued to drink.

He says Heard picked up the second bottle and threw it at him, and that's when it cut off his finger.

He said it made contact and shattered everywhere. I realized that the tip of my finger had been severed when I looked down and saw my bones sticking out.

Heard's side of the story

Heard told a different story in her response to the lawsuit, saying they got into a fight after she saw him take a bag of MDMA.

The argument heated up and Johnny pushed me, slapped me, and shoved me to the ground before I retreated to a locked bedroom and went to sleep.

She said that they fought at the house for three days, and that she accused him of shoving her into a ping pong table, grabbing her hair, and throwing objects and alcohol at her.

In one of the most terrifying moments of the three-day experience, Johnny slammed me against the countertop and grabbed me by the neck. I struggled to stand up as he grabbed me, but my arms and feet kept slipping and sliding on the spilled alcohol and were dragged against the broken glass on the countertop and floor, which repeatedly slashed my feet and arms, Heard wrote.

Heard says that he cut his finger by smashing a plastic phone against the wall.

She wrote that she did not cause the injury to Johnny's finger by throwing a bottle at him.

The former couple's marriage counselor testified that she believed they participated in mutual abuse.

Heard admitted to starting physical fights with Depp and showed up to solo sessions with a bruise on her face, according to a Therapist.
