Tyson and Dillian shared a handshake as they met for the first time since their bout was announced.

The Britons will fight in front of 96,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

He won the title in February 2020.

Since the fight was announced, he kept a low profile.

It is a big fight and I am excited to be here.

He didn't give a detailed explanation of his reluctance to attend a media conference last month, but he did say there was two sides to every story.

You hear one side because they say a lot of things. They say you're scared or hiding because I don't say anything.

Fury & Whyte share mutual respect

As he walked on to the stage, Frank Warren greeted him. As he made his way to his seat, the champ shouted "the champ is here".

Many media from around the world packed out a room at Wembley Stadium expecting a hostile, intense and unpredictable meeting between the two fighters. There was a lot of respect and light-hearted exchanges.

"We're going to treat you all to a hell of a barnstormer," said Fury, who is an odds-on favorite.

He is a good fighter and a solid man. He has good punch and good power.

He is definitely a man who needs a lot of respect and I have given him that by my training camp. I have trained harder for Dillian than I have for any other boxer.

The odds are coming from people who don't know anything about boxing. This is a fight. Anyone can win with a single punch. This guy will knock my head off if I am not on A Game.

Fighters keep things calm as teams clash

Fury and Whyte pleaded with their teams to calm down after the entourages clashed on stage

As the pair posed for the obligatory head-to-head, matters got heated between members of their entourages.

Surprisingly, it was the two people who seemed to calm things down.

"This is our day, we're going to make some space," he said.

Speaking to the media later, he said that sometimes you need to be a bit diplomatic. It was up to me to calm the situation down and sort it out.

Both men are being paid to fight, so why do it a few days before? Let's save it all for the night and not end up in a police van.

'We're different men today'

Over the years, the two boxers have had a number of spats on social media, most notably when Whyte claimed he knocked the other down during a sparring session.

When questioned about what happened 10 years ago, Fury refused to be drawn. We are different men today. We are different versions.

The importance of fighting in front of a record British crowd was underscored by the fact that Whyte fought on his home turf.

It means everything to win the world title in my own country. He said Wembley is not too far from where he is.

I am ready to rock and roll.
