Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp said Tuesday that he is not looking to reset a wide receiver market that has already exploded.

The Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year, Cooper Kupp, is going to make $14.25 million in the next two seasons. The Rams want to sign him to an extension.

The receiver contract market has exploded this season with the Las Vegas Raiders and the Miami Dolphins each signing record-setting deals one week apart. The Buffalo Bills, Christian Kirk, Mike Williams, and Chris Godwin all signed lucrative contracts.

When asked if he wants to top the contracts signed by other wide receivers, Kupp said that he was excited to see the contracts signed.

He said that he doesn't think that approach is really kind of the approach that he takes. There is a place that you think is fair. This is a place for me and this organization. I am not trying to beat anyone. I am not trying to compare myself to anyone else. Being in a place that is just right for both sides is more important.

Rams coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that there has been good dialogue with both Kupp and Donald regarding new contracts and that getting deals done with both is still at the forefront of their thoughts.

According to sources, San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel, TennesseeTitans wideout A.J. Brown, and Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin are seeking new contracts and are not expected to participate in any on-field work.

The Rams program is important to Kupp and he explained why.

The goal is to win a world title, he said. The goal is to put us in a better position to be a better football team if we can compete for another world title. I think the best thing I can do is be a part of that.

Kupp was named the league's top offensive player and had two touchdown catches in the Rams' victory over Cincinnati.
