Business class awards are currently being offered by United to many locations. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or an award sale, but it probably won't last long and so it's best to book asap.

United Airlines Airplane

The Deal

  • Book business class award flights through United for 60,000 MileagePlus miles from the US to several worldwide locations.

Quick Thoughts

The lower-priced awards seem to be based on United operating the first leg, with a partner airline operating one or more subsequent legs of the journey.

You can fly from New York to Bangkok for 60,000 miles. There are tons of availability if you only need to book one person. The first leg of most routes is on United metal and the ZRH-BKK leg is operated by Thai Airways.

Awards to New Zealand have 60,000 miles in business class which is a great price. Some of the search results appear to be misleading, but in some cases there is even availability for seats in business class. There are a few days in July when flights from Newark to New Zealand show 60,000 miles availability in business class for four people, but the lowest price is 200,000 miles.

United EWR-AKL 4 people but no availability

That isn't always the case. There are at least four people available in July for New York to Christchurch with a couple stops along the way. It only costs 60,000 miles in business class compared to 170,000 miles in Premium Economy, so it's a small price to pay.

Thailand and New Zealand aren't the only places pricing out in this way. According to Dan's Deals, flights to the Maldives, Israel and more can be booked for 60,000 miles one-way. If this opportunity gets pulled soon, it could be a good idea to book awards asap, because I think this pricing will stick around for a long time.
