  • The defamation suit was filed by Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

  • The former sound technician testified in court.

  • Heard once snapped and yelled at him on a plane for talking to her.

Heard yelled at the sound technician for talking to her on the plane.

A sound technician who has worked on Hollywood films for 35 years, including the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, told a Virginia court that he was attacked on a private jet.

Heard appeared to be giving the cold shoulder to Depp on the plane. At one point, he said, he said something to the effect of "You know he cares about you."

Heard yelled at him.

She snapped and yelled at me. Get away from me. He said that he went back to his seat and thought about his own business. It was a quiet plane and suddenly it got loud.

Depp's sound technician also testified that he's 'never seen' the actor be abusive to others

At several points during the hearing, he continued to say that he has never seen Johnny abuse anyone.

During the trial for his defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Heard, one of the people who collaborated with him was the man who goes by the name of Wyatt.

As Insider previously reported, Depp filed a defamation suit against Heard after she wrote about her experience with domestic violence in an op-ed for The Washington Post. The article was widely interpreted to be about him, even though his name wasn't mentioned. The $100 million countersuit was filed by Heard due to statements her ex's lawyers made about her. In 2016 the two separated.

The former marriage counselor for the couple testified that the exes were involved in "mutual abuse" and that Heard told her to escalate the fights in order to stop Depp from leaving.

Wyatt also said on the stand that Depp uses an earpiece while filming

During his testimony, he said that Johnny Depp used an earpiece to get the dialogue he wanted in his films.

Johnny likes to go to makeup in the morning and rewrite his dialogue. I would read them to him in his earpiece.

He said that he and Depp used an earpiece on every film they made together, and he believed that Depp was always prepared to portray his characters.

The earpiece was introduced on the set of 1997's "The Brave", which was directed by Depp. He said that the move was inspired by Marlon Brando.

Brando left the film's set after he finished shooting his scenes. A recording of Brando's dialogue was placed in an earpiece for Depp to use.

Afterwards, he used earpieces to inspire his performances. He said that the method evolved to include being fed lines that were re-written.

After that, we started to use an earpiece all the time where Johnny would listen to music while acting. It depended on the character.
