Russian chess legend Garry Kasparov said on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin may be ousted by his inner circle in a coup.

Paula asked the Putin critic if he expected to see more anti-Kremlin sentiment in Russia as the invasion of Ukraine fades.

Kasparov is a chess grandmaster for the former Soviet Union and Russia.

The order of moves that cannot be reversed was laid out by Kasparov.

The war is lost and the Russian public and Russian elite have to recognize it.

There will be conditions for a palace coup because of military defeat in Ukraine.

Losing the war on Ukraine is not an option for Putin, according to Kasparov.

He said that it was a matter of political survival and physical survival.
