Australia opened its ports to cruise ships for the first time in more than two years, and ended pre-arrival COVID-19 testing requirements in order to reopen its borders to tourists.

Australia let lapse several emergency measures it had in place to stop the spread of COVID-19 in order to reopen its borders to tourists.

Incoming travelers no longer need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test. They need to provide proof of vaccine before they can enter. International flights still require masks.

Australia closed its borders for nearly two years due to the COVID-19 epidemic. It reopened to visitors in early March.

The requirements to enter Australia are the same whether you arrive by sea or air. Make sure you have a valid visa to enter the country.

Passengers must submit a digital passenger declaration at least 72 hours before entering Australia. The form can be submitted seven days prior to travel.

International travelers who wish to visit Australia still need to provide proof that they have received both rounds of vaccine.

You should check with the state or territory you plan to visit to make sure they have additional travel requirements.

International travelers are required to be fully vaccineed.

If you are a child under the age of 12 and traveling with an adult who is fully vaccineed, you can be exempt from Australia's vaccine requirement.

If you don't fall under one of the categories, you will need to petition for an individual exemption.
