A big budget remake of Crazy Taxi is in the works and is expected to launch within the next three years. According to the revelation issued forth by Bloomberg today, a new Jet Set Radio is currently being developed with a similar development timetable. Both titles are part of the Super Game project, which the company first teased back in early 2021, as a way of speeding up the developer's recovery.

Shuji Utsumi, the former Sony executive leading the project, has let some things slip about the project. He said back in April that the project would involve a series of AAA titles. Last year, Sega announced that it was teaming up with Microsoft's Azure cloud division to help produce large-scale global games.

Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio and Virtua Fighter were all references to Silver Age blockbusters when Super Game was announced. These titles are going to be reborn as a free-to-play, online title. According to a report, the business of such titles is being staked out by the company. It's about time we had something nice in this life, and no amount of NFTs can make us hate Crazy Taxi, right?
