NASA shared raw footage of Crew-4 astronauts training for their space station mission that is set to start in a few days.

The 30-minute reel shows NASA astronauts Kjell Lindgren, Bob Hines, and Jessica Watkins, as well as the European Space Agency's (ESA's) Samantha Cristoforetti, undergoing a range of training techniques to prepare them for the ride to and from the International Space Station.

The astronauts enter the enormous pool at NASA's neutral buoyancy laboratory at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The floating sensation in the pool is very similar to what astronauts experience on the space station. The video shows mock-ups of different space station modules to help the astronauts get used to their new surroundings.

A lot of the training has felt like a refresh for Lindgren and Cristoforetti, who have already spent time on the International Space Station. Everything will have been new for both of them.

The fourth crew rotation to fly on the Crew Dragon and Falcon 9 rocket is the fifth flight following the demo-2 test flight to the space station in 2020.

The crew-4 launch is scheduled for 5:26 a.m. 2:30 a.m. On Saturday, April 23, from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Crew Dragon will dock at the space station at 6 a.m. The sun is setting at 3 a.m. On Sunday, April 24.

April is a busy month. On Tuesday, NASA's first private astronauts will leave the station after an eight-day stay, while the crew of Crew-4 will return home a few days after that.
