Fortnite's "The End" event, which showcased a black hole that would introduce the title's eleventh season " Chapter Two", broke Twitch and Twitter viewership records. According to , Epic Games states "The End" is also one of the most viewed gaming events on YouTube.

Twitch received over 1.7 million views combined from Fortnite's official stream and other popular creators who were also streaming the event. According to Epic, it was "the platform's peak concurrent record on a single game category." Twitter reports the black hole garnered the "most viewed gaming event on Twitter, with 50.7 million minutes watched and 42.8 million views." Epic stated that it peaked at 1.4 million concurrent viewers on the platform and that on YouTube it hit 4.3 million concurrent viewers across all channels.
