A vehicle that ran out of gas on a Tennessee bridge led to the discovery of hundreds of pounds of marijuana and the arrest of the driver.

According to a news release from the Memphis Police Department, officers responded to a call of a Chevrolet Suburban left on a bridge and stuck in a lane of traffic after the driver ran out of gas.

Police said that the driver refused to let them inside the SUV because they couldn't take a look at it.

Authorities said in the release that officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

After searching the vehicle, officers found 229 pounds of marijuana in multiple boxes and a large sum of money.

According to authorities, the woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The driver was held at the jail until the court hearing on April 19th.

Police say a passenger is wanted for murder in Mississippi.

Police in Georgia say an 18-year-old shoots his younger brother while smoking weed.

The group shipped $162K in guns from Georgia to California.

The 17-year-old posed with drugs, guns and cash before being arrested.
