Eight young concertgoers heard about my home through a mutual friend and booked it for 4 nights. They are paying my pricing for a total of $7,600. The keys are left for the renters, along with written instructions for local bars and restaurants. They can call me at any time. I have been to the festival before, and it is fun. I did not get tickets this year, but it is definitely for younger people. I think I could hold my own. I will be with my parents for about two weeks. I think it is fair that they charge me to stay there since I am making money renting out my own home. I think it is my responsibility as a son. I feel like a teenager again because it has been awhile since I lived with them. I don't have the kind of privacy that I have in my own home, and I can't do things like change the thermostat or get in trouble. I work for the Southern California Gas Utility during the day as a construction technician and engineer. That is a fancy way of saying I dig holes, fix pipes and look for leaks. Thanks to my home being close to Indio, I will not have to worry about my mortgage for the rest of the year.
