Three of the league's top young players at the position are looking for new deals of their own in the wake of record-breaking contracts for wide receivers.

According to sources, the 49ers star Deebo Samuel, theTitans wideout A.J. Brown, and the Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin are all seeking new contracts and are not expected to participate in any on-field work during their respective teams.

The Niners and the Commanders start on Tuesday. A source told Schefter that he still plans to report on time for the start of Washington's program.

Samuel, Brown, and McLaurin were all drafted in the same year. The three players have one year left on their rookies contracts and are in line for new deals as the wide receiver market explodes.

The Raiders signed Davante Adams to a record-setting five-year contract last month after acquiring him in a trade with the Packers. At the time, the deal was worth up to $150 million, with $67.5 million in guarantees and an annual average of $28.6 million.

One week later, the Dolphins signed Hill to a four-year, $120 million deal. Hill will make a record $30 million annually and will receive $72.2 million guaranteed and also $52.535 million at signing.

Several other receivers signed lucrative deals, including the Bills, Christian Kirk, Mike Williams, and the Bolts.

After trading Russell Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks have been rumored to be looking to trade second-round pick DK Metcalf, who also wants a new deal.

According to the Seattle Times, despite the uncertainty about his future, Metcalf is going to participate in Seattle's on-field workouts.

Samuel helped San Francisco reach the playoffs last season and is coming off a breakthrough season. He finished fifth in the league in receiving yards, sixth in touchdown catches, and eighth in rushing yards.

In his first two years with theTitans, Brown surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each year. Tennessee went 11-2 in the 13 games that Brown played.

Despite Washington's inconsistency at the quarterback position, McLaurin enjoyed another productive season in 2021. He had 1,053 yards and five touchdown catches.
