Fifty years ago, the Third Doctor encountered the Sea Devil, an ancient aquatic menace, in Legend of the Sea Devil. Despite the fact that this is only their third TV story, they are still a weird Doctor Who classic creature. The ones we encountered in Legend of the Sea Devils looked retro, with one of the Doctor Who designs being the best of a classic design yet.
