Passenger Jumps Overboard on Carnival Cruise

A man jumped into the water on a cruise ship and no one has seen him since.

Two teens ran past a passenger on deck 7 early Saturday morning in a panic. They screamed when she told them to slow down because she wanted them to not hurt themselves.

Some people thought it was a joke until security jumped to the ready and began a frantic search.

The Coast Guard went on the hunt after they were called in and blasted bright lights onto the dark sea. The cruise line stayed to help in the search.

The ship headed for Port Canaveral, Florida and the Coast Guard continued searching.

The man jumped off the ship. He is an adult who was on the ship with his family.

The guest services thought they were joking when they sent security to the area where the man fell.

The coast guard was called in after security confirmed he had gone off the coast.

The Carnival Care Team is supporting the family of the guest. The next itinerary for Mardi Gras will be sailing to Port Canaveral this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the guest and his family.
