Another Russian army general has been killed in action in Ukraine, governor says

Russian media reported that another Russian general had been killed.

The 8th Army's deputy commander was killed while fighting the Ukrainians.

The governor attended the funeral of the general at the cemetery in St. Petersburg on April 16.

The defense ministry of Russia said it will focus on the liberation of the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been lying about the situation in the Donbas, areas of which are controlled by Kremlin-backed rebels.

It is rare for the Kremlin to admit to a death.

The Kremlin has rarely confirmed the reports that Russia has lost scores of officers and top commanders in the invasion.

Russia has put the death toll in Ukranian at 1,351, a figure that was last updated on March 25.

NATO estimates that Russia has lost up to 15,000 troops, while the Ukrainians claim to have killed 20,000.
